Palmaz Scientific was a new venture with a well established history through its founder Julio Palmaz, MD who invented the first commercially successful balloon expandable intravascular stent that revolutionized cardiac care around the world and was a part of Johnson & Johnson. The need to launch this new company in a fast and robust effort was paramount for the global launch of the first clinical trials in Europe. Palmaz Scientific represents next generation technologies that will revolutionize many areas of implantable medical devices. The integrated brand marketing program needed to reflect an innovative and forward thinking company but also establish the equity of a proven and highly successful visionary in Julio Palmaz.
Range identified key attributes of the company’s technologies and created an innovative design language that reflected specific aspects of the intellectual properties of the products. The micro-mesh and thin film technologies allowed for various graphic treatments and layered expressions of the product design within the brand communications. Range was able to implement the brand voacbulary across various marketing channels and develop a comprehensive voice and image for the company.
